Hi, I’m Elsa-Sofia Morote.
Elsa-Sofia Morote, Ed.D., Ph.D., has more than 25 years of experience in higher education, where she has had senior leadership roles serving students from pre-college to doctoral level. She has served as Founder Director of the International & Diversity Institute at Dowling College, Dean of workforce development at Farmingdale State College, and Dean of Graduate Studies at John Jay College.
My mission is simple: to share proven tools that empower you to create a better life. And, it’s to make you feel a little less alone, to encourage you every step of the way, and laugh a lot as we learn and grow together.
I figure if I can save you some of the headaches and heartaches I’ve given myself, well, that’s a life well lived.
Dr. Morote has an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Pittsburgh and a Ph.D. in International Management from the International School of Management, Paris, France. She did Postdoctoral work at MIT researching the effectiveness of educational technology. She has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles, books, and book chapters, supported emerging scholars, and mentored over 200 dissertations and several books. She has received 20+ honors, such as best mentor, best research papers, and community advocate.
She is a Professor of Public Policy at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and President of the Dowling International Academy (DIA-NY). DIA-NY is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting the career advancement of leaders and scholars to reach the 3 I’s Inquiry, Innovation, and Impact to elevate the well-being of society as a whole.
Dr. Morote is passionate about writing books to help self-improvement and create a society of harmony.
